Services : Tori Migration
To facilitate the migration from an existing VTD/8 hardware configuration to VTD/8 Tori, please follow these steps :
  1. Prepare a dedicated Windows computer for the installation of Tori :
    • Windows 2000 or Windows XP or Windows 2003 (Server or Workstation)
    • logged on as Administrator, or with a user account different from the Local System account (in order to have access rights to mapped drives and printer queues)
    • min. 128 Mb memory and a CD-ROM drive
    • with access to the GCOS

  2. Send us the configuration files of your VTD/8 board :
    • use the link at the bottom of this page
    • the files GNIMM8.DFT + GNIMM8.NET + GNIMM8.TM are stored in your VTD/8 directory

  3. Add a node on your GCOS for each new Tori server :
    • in a member named 'iso_ea01' (for example) :
       LTS_INET NAME=LTS3 IP_ADD=192.9.2.171 PORT=102 MAXTC=1050
        GW_ADD=192.9.200.240
       NRSC NAME=TORI NRTS=TORI
       NRTS NAME=TORI TYPE=INET IP_ADD=192.9.200.147
    • in a member named 'ng_gen' (for example) :
       RSYS NAME=TORI RSC=TORI PF='STID/ISO/SID3'
       RSC NAME=TORI SCID=01:62 SERVER=(OCS7)
      or something like :
       SYS TORI PF='STID/ISO/SID3' SCID=01:62 ISL=(08-00-38-5F-38-6D)
        PT=(EA74) OBJLIST
    • do not use 'PID=SID' because a DSA session is prefered
    • the 'ISL=(...)' address is only necessary for a direct connection to the ISL interface on GCOS, and will be the MAC address of the network card in your Tori computer
    • if your GCOS version only accepts BULL addresses (=080038xxxxxx), you must first change the MAC address of the network card in your Tori computer
    • restart your GCOS to activate the new node

  4. Name, phone number and email address of the contact person for this project :
    • use the link at the bottom of this page

  5. If you have already received the Tori installation CD-ROM and the Tori license document, make sure they are available on the installation date.
     
  6. Send the exact address where the Tori installation will take place :
    • use the link at the bottom of this page
    • if possible, reserve a parking place for one car
    • add a detailed route description if necessary

  7. Click on this button to open a new email in your default mail program (Outlook, Eudora, etc...) :
