VIRGA stands for 'Virtual Gateway'. VIRGA is a concept that primarily aims at offering a system that guarantees you a high connection availability to your mainframes. This high connection availability is possible using MMR’s VIRGA Backup or the VIRGA cluster technologies. You can also combine both technologies to create a perfect backup system !
- VIRGA OnBoard Backup System : This is the system that allows you to use more sessions on a VTD/8 Optimo board than defined by the VTD/8 license code. The use of these unlicensed sessions is charged, per session, via a credit system using the Virga OnBoard technology. More >
- VIRGA Clustering System : Up to 4 different VTD/8 gateways in a cluster can share parts of their configuration, and allows any user to be re-routed automatically to another gateway if his 'home-gateway' is unreachable or full. You can also automatically balance all emulator sessions propertionally over the gateways in this cluster. More >
