Tori Cluster at Franco Belge Electricité March 2005 - Franco Belge Electricité, subsidiary of Sonepar France, is the major electrical wholesaler on the Ile-de-France area, with its 35 branches network.
The company was created in 1919 by a Frenchman and a Belgian, it entered the Sonepar group in 1969 and has today over 500 professionals, 1200 distributors, and more than 10000 clients.
The VTD/8 Tori Cluster with 800 VTD/Amaril sessions replaced their two Optimo boards. Franco Belge also ordered two Customer Engineering Requests for VTD/Amaril. Samsonite-Europe selects VTD/8 Tori March 2005 - Samsonite, world leader in providing bags, suitcases, kids luggage, computer cases and many more, has migrated their two VTD/8 Optimo boards to a VTD/8 Tori Cluster.
The European head office, located in Oudenaarde (Belgium), connects all European Samsonite subsidiaries - from Norway to Greece - using 500 VTD/Amaril sessions. RSZPPO/ONSSAPL chooses VTD/8 Tori Cluster January 2005 - The Office National de Sécurité Sociale des Administrations Provinciales et Locales (=Rijksdienst voor Sociale Zekerheid van de Provinciale en Plaatselijke Overheidsdiensten) replaces their two VTD/8 Centro boards by a Tori Cluster on a VMWare platform.
Almost 200 VTD/Amaril sessions now connect to the GCOS host using SSL encryption.
This company, located in the heart of Brussels, collects the social security contributions of local and provincial authorities and that of other administrations in Belgium. VTD/8 Tori running on VMWare at Rainbow ICT Services January 2005 - As an Economic Interest Grouping, Rainbow provides IT services to a number of large insurance companies, altogether for some 3000 users.
The company, operating from the centre of Brussels, was established in 2001 by the insurance groups P&V and the Dexia daughter company DVV. In June 2003, Swiss Life and Zelia also joined the organisation.
The Tori Single Server, installed on a Windows 2003 VMWare GSX server, succesfully replaced the VTD/8 Optimo board. Security hotfixes for Windows NT4 no longer supported by Microsoft January 2005 - After five years of service, the Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 operating system is being retired. Microsoft first announced the retirement of Windows NT4 in September 2001.
From January 2005, support is no longer available by Microsoft . This includes security and non-security hotfixes ! Microsoft advises all NT4 users to upgrade to the Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server.

November 2004 - RAM Gamex, a major french insurance company, migrated their two Optimo boards and ordered 600 new VTD/8 sessions, now running 1500 sessions over a Tori Cluster.
The company has 1500 employees divided over 80 offices nationwide, and more than 1,500,000 insured individuals ! French company Axygest selects Tori November 2004 - Axygest, the developer of taxi fleet management software, has chosen to enhance their communication using a Tori Single Server.
The company was founded in 1985, and is located in the heart of Paris. Warships builder DCN Propulsion chooses VTD/8 Tori November 2004 - DCN Propulsion has migrated their 100 sessions on the Optimo boards to a Tori Single Server.
This unit is based at Nantes-Indret and has a staff of around 1000. DCN Propulsion develops, builds and integrates complete propulsion systems for submarines and surface combatants. The Propulsion business unit is also responsible for the assembly and testing, in cooperation with Rolls-Royce, of WR-45 gas turbine/alternator sets for Royal Navy T45 frigates. Successful migration to VTD/8 Tori at Hoffmeister Leuchten September 2004 - Hoffmeister Leuchten GmbH replaces their VTD/8 Optimo board by a VTD/8 Tori Server with 90 sessions on a Windows 2003 server, thereby bypassing the Datanet.

Founded nearly 100 years ago, and today with affiliates in Austria and Sweden, Hoffmeister Leuchten is located in the German city of Lüdenscheid, near Düsseldorf. 240 sessions Tori Cluster introduced at Onderlinge Levensverzekeringen September 2004 - The Onderlinge Levensverzekeringmaatschappij ´s-Gravenhage is an independent, solid and financially very powerful company with hundreds of thousands of life insurance policies, as well as home, travel and car insurance policies.
This Dutch company, located in The Hague and founded in 1895, cooperates with more than 1000 professional agents nationwide.
Their two VTD/8 Optimo boards each carrying a 120 sessions license are replaced with a VTD/8 Tori Cluster, supported by a Silver Maintenance Contract. La Luxembourgeoise chooses Tori and Amaril to automate procedures April 2004 - La Luxembourgeoise, founded in the early 1920´s and one of the largest insurance companies in Luxembourg, decided to update their Optimo board to a VTD/8 Tori Server, and to upgrade all 200 VTD/Win sessions to VTD/Amaril.
A special function in Amaril allows them to automatically launch external Oracle forms, based on the content of the received host data. Furthermore, the scripting tool in Amaril lets them automatically create text files once a specific keyword has been detected on the host screen.

And they succeed ! Steria Group selects VTD/8 Tori in outsourcing for Centea Banking June 2004 - Centea, member of the KBC Banking Group, has migrated their Optimo boards to VTD/8 Tori Cluster.
All 333 Amaril sessions in the Centea offices in Antwerp now connect at high-speed to the Tori servers in the Steria building at Louvain-la-Neuve using Load Balancing between the servers.
The installation, migration and configuration of the VTD/8 Tori software on both Windows XP computers took less than one hour ! Steria signed for a Gold Maintenance Contract.

Lindab integrated their first VTD/8 Standard gateways with VTDWIN emulators in 1995. Quickly afterwards, the VTD/8 Centro was introduced as well. Lindab now choses for the logical next step: migration to Amaril. Bibliothèque Nationale de France January 2002 - Bibliothèque Nationale de France (French National Library) decides to update its VTD platform to the latest products :
- VTD/8 Centro is replaced by VTD/8 Optimo
- the 32-bit Amaril emulator replaces the "good old" VTDWIN
- the Virga back-up solution is implement on the VTD/8 Optimo as Virga OnBoard. To integrate Web technology in its business, Iafil ordered MMR´s Adular for developing an information system for the order processing (consultation of available stocks, progress of orders) for its agents and distributors. This web-application integrates their AS400 platform and re-uses their existing applications for order processing. The next phase in this project will be on line ordering for their agents and distributors.
